COMMISSIONS are never set by Abana. We empower our independent contractor Sales Associates to set their own commission. However, we do request that buyer side commission does not fall below 2.5%. Simply put, any agent that sells one of Abana's listings will get paid 2.5-4%. Land is typically listed at 8-10%.

FLAT FEE LISTINGS are not new to Birmingham Alabama Real Estate; in fact, virtually every city of size has been offering F.F.L. for years. It is a good option for FOR SALE BY OWNER and for the growing number of clients that have little or no equity in their home. However, when clients are given the option, the overwhelming majority choose Full Service Listings, the clients like having a choice in listing plans.

FULL SERVICE is the way of the future. That is why we now have one stop shopping.  We have a Mortage Company, Title Company, and Closing Attorney all at one location.  We view this as a service and convenience to our sales associate and clients; However we encourage our sales associates to use the companies best suited to their client needs.
